What do you like about the layering photo below? The glare of the light is distracting, and it feels rushed. That sense of tension can be a way to establish the pace, but here the speed just makes the photo feel fragmented or incomplete.
Distracting yes. I like it because it's a near miss. A glimpse of a photograph that I could have made. That whole day was a fragment of broken composition and missed moments. I like the urgency, the rush, I like when a photograph makes you feel that emotion otherwise it's just flat.
I like to be reminded of who I am and what I'm capable of. I see that in missed photographs. It's not that the opportunity isn't there it's that I didn't capture it.
